DC800

VentureEdge 800 cabinet available early 2027

Storage that grafts onto a plant, or backs up a data centre.

Two formats for the same building block. The VentureEdge 800 cabinet — 418 kWh and 209 kW, 800 V output, one to five cabinets in parallel — and the VentureBooster 800 container, which brings five of these racks together for 1 MW and a little over 2 MWh.

Both connect to the plant's 800 V bus, at the output of the solar inverters. They therefore need no transformer of their own: where a conventional installation lines up two — one for solar, one for the battery — only one remains.

The same conditions apply to a data centre: a supply to protect, an existing bus to graft onto, and a power level to hold without interruption. There the DC800 acts as reserve and peak shaving.

  • Existing solar plant to be equipped with storage
  • Data centre: backup and peak shaving on the existing bus
  • Site equipped in stages, one cabinet at a time
  • Shifting daytime export to the expensive hours
  • Limiting curtailment on a saturated grid connection

Energy
836 kWh
Power
418 kW
Ratio
2 h

The ratio, in one line: power × duration = energy. A 2-hour system stores twice its power, a 4-hour system four times. For the same energy, a longer ratio needs less conversion power — and targets other revenue.

The grid connection, the contract, the generation already in place: three facts are enough to know whether this range is the right one. If not, we point you to another.
